Slow start

Here I am wanting to start to blog about our home schooling experience, but not finding much time to write anything.
I have an excuse, I have been sick. When you teach you child at home, there is no sick day for mom though. Lessons have to be taught. Even though we are working from home, we have a deadline. Micah wants to be done before his birthday which is in June, so he can enjoy play time with his friends. I have to admit, I am looking forward to a break myself.

Micah is having the blank page syndrome right now ; he is suppose to write a paragraph about a field trip we took, and even though he loved it, he has a hard time finding the words... That's also why I have a few minutes to write here.

We are going to make it a short day today, I want to show him a movie about the time the pioneers crossed the United States to find refuge in the Rockies.

Can't call it Day 1

Teaching my son is my life right now... We have been doing home school for 3 years now, and with some struggles at the beginning when my son does not understand that mom became his teacher, and he has to work at home instead of just play, we are now harvesting the years of work. Micah knows the routine, and he loves to have school at home.
